It’s my first swim lesson, what do we do?Please arrive at your lessons around 10 minutes prior to your start time. Follow the signage at the site to the pool and changing rooms, you will be asked to take of your shoes before entering. Once your little one is changed hop onto the poolside where they’ll be met by their teacher to start their lesson, you can also sit on poolside and watch if you would like. You will then collect your child from their teacher at the end of the lesson.

What should I bring to lessons?Here’s a quick checklist of all the essentials: Girls one piece swim suite Boys jammers (tight swim shorts) swim hat Goggles A towel A hair bobble to tie back long hair

Does my child have to wear a swim hat?We use swim hats to maintain high standards of cleanliness in our pools so swim hats must be worn at all times.

How frequent are the lessons?All lessons are run during school term time only and there is one 30min session per week.

Do you offer a tester lesson?At making waves swim school we believe that every child deserves personalised attention and tailored learning experience because of this we do not offer trial sessions instead we take the time to closely asses each Childs swimming ability over the course of a few weeks.

Any requirements for the lessons?You will always need to bring a swim hat. If you are attending Rose Hill Swimming Lessons please make sure to purchase a kit bag from our 'shop' page or buy all the individual items your self that are listed in the item description.

Will my child receive certificates?Your child will receive a certificate on completion of every new stage.

How warm is the pool?Both Vale Road & Rose Hill are between 31-32 degrees C.

How long is a swimming lesson?All group and One to One lessons are 30mins long.

What is the waiting list?If there are no available spaces or your well organised and thinking ahead you can join our waiting list to make sure you get a space sooner. If this is something you are interested in please fill out the form on the home page and select 'Waiting List', you will be contacted shortly.
